Hi and Welcome...
Thank you for taking time out of your life to learn a little bit about mine. The following are, for the most part, in chronological order but first.
- I'm co-starring in, and in the final days of shooting, Hollaback, a feature film starring Kiely Williams and Vanessa Bell Calloway. Hollaback is s scary, sexy, funny, campy black slasher flick and it's the sequel to the 2007 Lionsgate Feature Holla.
- Born May 10th, which makes my astrological sign, Taurus

- Place of birth: Habana, Cuba.

- Full name: José Antonio Pelayo
- Came to the US at age 9 with my father in what were then called "Los vuelos de la liberta" or the "Freedom Flights"; my mother and sister would follow three years later.
- Grew-up in Queens (NY) but I've also lived, for short periods of time, in Wilmington (DE) -when I first arrived from Cuba, in Hialeah (FL) -graduated from High School there and also attended the Florida Air Academy in Melbourne, in Hawthorne (CA) -in the late 80's, in New York City and in New Jersey -after the twins were born; I currently live in the Los Angeles (CA) area
- Started acting over 25 years ago in a small Off-Off Broadway theater in NYC named 13th Street Repertory Company. My first acting gig was "Wise Acre Farm" a children's show which started out as an Improvisational Workshop; I played Clifford the Dog for almost two years, I loved it. I would eventually get to play "act" on many of their Main Stage shows including LINE, ISLAND, CARMILLA'S KISS, THREE OF A KIND -In which I co-stared with Anthony Azizi and Judy Kraus and FRANKENSPELL SUPERSTAR -The Musical, where I met my wife Ellen. 13th Street Theater is still there, on 13th Street between 6th and 5th, and I believe it's one of the oldest Off-Off Broadway theater houses in the City. It was also at 13th Street where I met 'my brother from another mother' Joseph Cadett; sadly he's no longer with us, I miss you brother.
- I Studied acting with Colette Duvall for several years, you might recognize Colette from the show "Who's The Boss" staring Tony Danza. She's now the Co-founder and Program Director of Shadowland Foundation, a non-profit, wolf educational program for children of all ages; she's also the proud den-mother of 9 wolves.
- Now in LA, I've had co-starring roles in Medium (CBS) and General Hospital (ABC), as well as in a couple of short films "Father Time" and "A Cost of Freedom" and as I mentioned at the start, above, in the feature film Hollaback.
Well, that's it for now. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions drop me a line.
Thanks for dropping by.
Peace,José Antonio
